Now, here’s a first. We’ve had the vitamins in a drink and now we’ve got botox in a drink! Apparently, the first ever drink supplement to combine hydrolysed collagen, hyaluronic acid, borage oil and vitamins, to tackle ageing skin is being launched in the UK.
Pure GOLD COLLAGEN® is one of the new wave of nutracosmetics to be launched in the UK, which offers an alternative way to combat wrinkles, fine lines and sagging skin. Now, I hate to say it but at the moment I am not convinced. I could be proven wrong after sampling this but until then I am very very sceptical. Collagen beauty drinks are already a big thing in Japan but haven’t really come into the UK market until now.

The makers of Pure Gold Collagen says that the key ingredient is 5g of hydrolysed collagen, or Peptan, which is highly digestible and helps the skin preserve its strength, elasticity and firmness. They add that what makes Pure GOLD COLLAGEN® unique is the addition of hyaluronic acid which encourages the efficient adoption of collagen by the dermis (lower layer of the skin).
Apparently, one of the main benefits of taking these ingredients orally, in a drink, is that they get to work on the lower levels of skin or dermis, so is far more effective than skin creams which only work on the epidermis (outer skin layer).
Tony Sanguinetti of MINERVA Research Labs, the UK company which has developed Pure GOLD COLLAGEN® for women in Europe, is as you would expect, passionate about the product. He says: “On a visit to Japan I discovered the availability of collagen drinks and was amazed at the popularity with Japanese women. I was also impressed by the Japanese holistic approach to beauty. I decided to investigate the product and its potential insertion in Europe. One year later we developed an improved formula for the European market , where this drink is largely unheard of and women have yet to take on the idea of a beauty drink. I believe collagen drinks are going to get big in the future because they work in a different way to creams . The collagen drink can be either complementary or a natural alternative to invasive treatments like botox and fillers.”
Well, I hate to knock something before I have tried it so until then I will leave a big HMMMMMMMMMMMM here, which will be replaced with a big OOOOOOOO! If it works!
UK consumers can purchase Pure Gold Collagen from www.gold-collagen.com and costs £3.60 per bottle. You can also find them on Facebook on www.facebook.com/goldcollagenUK

Im always very skeptical with things like this, but for only £3.60 a bottle I might just give it a go! Ive heard of collagen marshmallows but I doubt they work at all concidering they contain sugar which isnt good for collagen in the first place!
xxx
Hmmmm i know me too! Sugar is terrible for your skin and speeds up degradation of elastin and collagen. Eating a lot of sugar is credited with causing your face to wrinkle and droop much earlier than nature intended so i am very dubious of all these products, the marshmallows included! Although i will be testing the collagen drink so will let you know what i think! Louisa xx
